Presque Parisiennes Podcast

Bonjour tout le monde, Presque Parisiennes Podcast is a show about life and culture in Paris, from the perspectives of two foreigners living here. We are your co-hosts. Dilara, born in Izmir Turkey, who moved to Paris in 2013 for work and is currently living in the 12th arrondissement. Kelly, born in Glasgow Scotland, who moved to Paris in 2017 to open a new chapter in her life and is currently living in Kremlin-Bicêtre. In this podcast, we’ll be talking about everything about Paris and France, from our own perspectives as foreigners who try to adapt to this city. Throughout the show, by covering various topics, we will try to tackle the question of what is being a Parisian. Instead of staying on the surface of cliches and stereotypes we’ll have deep and real talks about living abroad, cultural differences, work, life, culture and many more topics. Tuesday Feb 06, 2024

Since Valentine’s Day is approaching, we wanted to use this as an excuse to have another series on our show. Today’s episode is mostly about how love, sexuality and relationships are experienced in Paris in comparison to how people outside of Paris think we live them. Then next week we’ll talk about why Paris is considered as the city of love. For today, we’re going to take a stab at multiple stereotypes and prove them to be right or wrong. Is it true that the French have multiple lovers? Are French men really good lovers and are French women hard to get? Let’s find out.
